Ford has launched the Raptor 2022 in Nepal. The mid-size pickup truck comes with a new 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine that is capable of producing 391 horsepower and 583 Nm of torque. The new generation Raptor is offered at a base price of Rs 2.15 lakh.
The 2022 Raptor has an all-aluminum body, in contrast to the first-generation Raptor, which had a steel body construction – making it lighter than its previous iterations. Although the first and second generation Raptors share a similar design language, the second generation Raptor has a rugged and sculpted design. The 2022 Raptor comes with a new grille, automatic C-shaped headlights, dual exhaust and 17-inch alloy wheels. Furthermore, the pickup is offered in four colors: Absolute black, Arctic white, Code orange and Conquer gray.
Inside, the pickup has a rugged themed interior, orange accents on the seats, trim and panels, and all-new jet fighter-like sports seats. The dashboard includes a three-spoke steering wheel, a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The second-generation Raptor is powered by a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 petrol engine that produces a peak power of 391 horsepower and a peak torque of 583 Nm. The engine is connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission. The sensor is offered in three on-road modes: Normal, Sport and Slippery – and four off-road modes: Rock Crawl, Sand, Mud/Ruts and Baja. The Raptor also gets a four-wheel drive system.
