Kawasaki has updated its Z series motorcycles with the launch of the 2023 Z H2 and Z H2 SE in the Indian market. Both bikes only come in a single variant and are only offered in the 'Metallic Matte Graphene Steel/Ebony' color scheme, which is the only significant change. Apart from the color scheme, all other specifications are retained as the outgoing models. The company has offered the 2023 Z H2 at an introductory price of INR 23.02 lakh and the 2023 Z H2 SE at INR 27.22 lakh.


Design and features

The new Z H2 and Z H2 SE have the same design as their predecessors. Based on the SUGOMI & Minimalist brand design concept, both bikes come with an aggressive front fairing, muscular tank, thick handlebars with switches, small windshield, split seats and side exhaust. In terms of lighting, the headlight, tail light, turn signals and license plate light have LED units. The wheels also share the same dimensions as they measure 2085mm in overall length, 810mm in width and 1130mm in height. Furthermore, the company has only offered a "Metallic matte graphene steel grey/ebony" color scheme for both models.

The Z H2 and Z H2 SE models feature a full-color TFT LCD instrument panel – which offers Bluetooth connectivity – that displays information such as speedometer, tachometer, odometer, odometer, clock, gear indicator and fuel gauge. other. Powertrain

The Z H2 and Z H2 SE share the same power unit. Powering the bare wheels is a 998cc supercharged liquid-cooled 4-stroke 16-valve FI inline-four engine. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, the engine generates a peak power of 197.2 bhp at 11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 137 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The company also offers bikes with a Trellis frame, which uses the full power of the turbocharged engine and maintains a high level of balance between stiffness and flexibility.

Chassis

While the Z H2 models get manually adjustable suspension with a Showa SFF BP fork at the front and an adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear, the Z H2 SE variant uses Showa Skyhook technology, thanks to which it offers electronically adjustable suspension. And for braking, both models have two 320mm discs at the front and a single 260mm rotor at the rear, coupled with ABS.

Kawasaki has launched the Z H2 and Z H2 SE in a single variant and color scheme of "Metallic Matte Graphene Steel/Ebony". The Z H2 comes at a launch price of INR 23.02 lakh and the Z H2 SE comes at INR 27.22 lakh. The bikes serve as rivals to the Ducati Streetfighter V4/V4S and the BMW S 1000 R.


There is no official news yet from the launch in Nepal, but fans can expect it to cost around Rs 56 crore for the Z H2 model and Rs 60 crore for the Z H2 SE model.
