Bajaj Auto has launched the 2023 iteration of its Pulsar range – the NS160 and NS200 – in the Indian market. With this update, both bikes come with dual-channel ABS, new suspension setup and an updated powertrain. The company has offered the 2023 Pulsar NS160 at an introductory price of INR 1.35 lakh and the new Pulsar NS200 at INR 1.47 lakh.
The new Pulsar NS160 comes with dual-channel ABS (with larger disc brakes), a new upside-down front fork and wider tires (100/80-17 front, 130/70-17 rear) which increase the bike's stability. and manipulation. In addition, these new changes have also increased the curb weight of the bike to 152 kg. Apart from these changes, the bike now features a new semi-analog instrument cluster that displays information such as gear indicator, DTE (distance to empty), instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption and time, among others.
The new NS160 comes with a new OBD-2 compliant engine, but its engine output remains the same. The bike is still powered by the same single-cylinder, oil-cooled, twin-spark, four-valve, FI DTS-i engine. The engine generates a peak power of 17 bhp at 9000 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.6 Nm at 7250 rpm. For transmission, the engine is connected to a five-speed gearbox.

The new Pulsar NS200 also comes with dual-channel ABS and a new upside-down front fork that improves the bike's stability and handling. The bike also gets a new lightweight fairing that improves handling and reduces the bike's curb weight to 158kg. Apart from these changes, the bike now features a new semi-analog instrument cluster that displays information such as gear indicator, DTE (distance to empty), instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption and time, among others.
The new NS200 is offered with a new OBD-2 compliant engine, but its engine performance remains intact. The bike is still powered by the same single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, three-spark, four-valve, FI DTS-i engine. The engine generates a peak power of 24bhp at 9750rpm and a peak torque of 18.74Nm at 8000rpm. For transmission, the engine is connected to a six-speed gearbox.

In terms of design, both the bikes come with the same design cues as the outgoing models like an aggressive front grille with LED headlights, muscular tank, split seat, split handlebars, underbelly exhaust and LED tail light. Additionally, the bike was offered in four different color schemes: Glossy Ebony Black, Pewter Grey, Satin Red and Metallic Pearl White.
