Bajaj Auto has launched the all-new Pulsar P150 in India. The new generation Pulsar P150 was offered in two variants: Single-disc (with one seat) and Twin-disc (with split seats). The new Pulsar P150 is based on the next-generation Pulsar platform, which is also used in the Pulsar 250 and Pulsar N160 series. The single disc variant comes at INR 1.17 lakh and the dual disc model costs INR 3,000 more (INR 1.20 lakh).
The new Pulsar P150 has a sportier, sharper and lighter design than its predecessors. The new generation Pulsar P150 comes with a new front fascia with bi-function LED projector headlamp, muscular tank, new underbelly exhaust and a small windshield. The single-disc variant gets an upright stance, while the dual-disc comes with a sportier stance. In addition, the motorcycle was offered in two single-tone colors: Racing Red and Caribbean Blue, and in three two-tone colors: Ebony Black Red, Ebony Black Blue and Ebony Black White.
The naked bike features a new semi-digital instrument cluster that displays the gear indicator, fuel consumption and DTE. Other notable features are LED units, single-channel ABS and a USB charging port.
Powering the Pulsar P150 is a new 149.68cc four-stroke two-valve single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The engine produces a peak power of 14 hp and a maximum torque of 13.5 Nm. For transmission, the engine is mated to a five-speed constant-gear transmission. The company further claims that 90% of the torque is available throughout the rev range, and a 10kg reduction in bike weight results in an 11% increase in power-to-weight ratio.
