Bajaj has launched the new generation N-series Pulsar models – N250 and N160 in Nepal. Based on the company's new 250 platform, the all-new N250 and N160 come with similar design and features but differ in mechanical specifications. The new N160 is priced at R3.80 million and the N250 at R4.90 million.

Design and features

Pulsar N series models have a sharp and aggressive design. On the front panel, there is a bi-functional projector LED headlight with eyebrow-shaped DRL. And at the back, the naked bike has LED crystal taillights and a split handle bar. Other notable design features of the new bikes are the twin-barrel muffler, split seats and sculpted fuel tank (with Pulsar logo).

The N series Pulsar models are equipped with a semi-digital instrument panel: the digital section includes speedometer, fuel gauge, time indicator, odometer, side stand indicator and odometer; and the analog section gets a tachometer. Apart from this, the new bikes come with other notable features like USB charging port and dual-channel ABS.

Engine

The N250 is powered by a 249.07cc, single-cylinder, BS6, four-stroke, SOHC, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The engine produces a maximum power of 24.5 PS at 8750 rpm and a maximum torque of 21.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is connected to a five-speed gearbox.

The N160 is powered by a 164.82cc twin-spark oil-cooled DTS-i engine that generates a maximum power of 15.7PS at 8750rpm and a peak torque of 14.65Nm at 6750rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed constant-gear transmission.
