The Henrey Mincar EV has been launched in Nepal at Rs 23.50 lakh

Pioneer World Wide Pvt. Ltd, the authorized distributor of Henrey electric cars, has launched its first EV – the Mincar EV – at Rs 23.50 lakh in Nepal. The electric mini-hatchback has a minimalist design and is equipped with a 16.5 kWh lithium-ion battery that provides a range of approximately 120 km. The city electric car is one of the most affordable four-wheelers in Nepal at its current price.

Design and features

The Mincar EV gets a minimalist design. The front fascia features a closed grille with the Henrey logo in the center and halogen headlights. At the rear, the EV is equipped with halogen taillights. The vehicle measures 3380 mm in length, 1499 mm in width and 1610 mm in height. The EV sits on 13-inch alloy wheels; and both wheels are 2440 mm apart. In addition, the car is available in three color variants: green, white and red.

The interior of the new EV is simple. The seats are covered in leather, between them the driver's seat is height-adjustable, and the rear seats are foldable, which provides an increased luggage space of up to 600 liters.

The EV dashboard comes with a three-spoke steering wheel and behind it is a fully digital instrument console that displays the vehicle's speed, range, battery status and distance traveled, among other things.

The electric hatchback comes with notable features like rear parking sensors, hill start assist, reverse camera with dynamic parking guidance, heating and ABS with EBD among others.

Battery and specifications

The new Mincar EV is powered by a 16.5 lithium-ion battery mated to a 35kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) – which generates a maximum power of 46bhp and a maximum torque of 102Nm. The EV can be fully charged in 4-5 hours via a home charger and provides a range of around 120 km on a full charge.

The car has two driving modes: Eco and Sport. The car can accelerate up to 100 km/h in sports mode.
