Maxus set to debut in Nepal with the T60 pickup

Maxus is all set to enter Nepal with the launch of a new lifestyle pickup – the T60. The mid-sized pickup truck comes with a double cab layout and is powered by a 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine. The T60 will be offered in two- or four-wheel drive.


Design


The T60 has a traditional two-cabin sensor. The front grille features a large radiator grille with the brand logo in the middle, which extends to the LED headlights. And at the back, the pickup has LED taillights. Other exterior features of the pickup include roof rails, fog lights, DRLs, automatic mirrors, four cargo tie-down points, mud flaps for all wheel arches, rain-sensing wipers and 17-inch alloy wheels.



Inside is a two-cabin pickup with capacity for up to five people with an open cargo bed capacity of 1,188 litres. The seats are upholstered in leather; the driver's seat is six-way adjustable and the passenger's seat is four-way adjustable. Other interior features of the pickup include a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay.


Engine

The T60 is powered by a 2.8-litre turbodiesel engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that generates a peak power of 150bhp and a peak torque of 360Nm. The mid-sized sensor comes with three driving modes: Eco, Normal and Power. Power mode offers optimal performance and Eco and Normal modes are best suited for city driving.

Function

The T60 comes with notable features like automatic climate control, keyless entry and start, push button start, height-adjustable steering wheel, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, Bluetooth connectivity and automatic climate control, among others.


In terms of safety, the pickup is equipped with four airbags, ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), ESP, ISOFIX child seat mounts, hill start assist system, traction control system, electronic brake assist, rear parking sensor and reversing camera.


Maxus T60 price in Nepal

Paramount Motors, the official distributors, are yet to reveal the launch date and price of the T60. However, Nepalese can expect it to cost around Rs 80 crore – competing with the Isuzu Hi-Lander, Foton Tunland DC and JAC T8.
