MG ZS EV earns 5 stars in New Car Assessment Program (NCAP)

The New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) rated 5 stars for the MG ZS EV in the crash test. The electric SUV MG ZS EV scored 34.5 points out of 38 for the protection of adult passengers and 41.7 points out of 49 for the protection of children, over 90% and 85% respectively.


This electric car is powered by a 44.5 kWh lithium-ion battery that is capable of generating 147 Bhp of power and a maximum torque of 353 NM, where 80% charge can be achieved within 30 minutes. The ZS EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds. It is considered an affordable all-electric compact SUV. Priced at 49.99 lakhs including 7KW AC charger.





The safety assistance system in the EV scored 9.2 out of a maximum of 13 points, and the vulnerable road user rating reached 31 points out of 48. In the front and side tests, the car shows impacts against a rigid barrier and a movable deformable barrier.






MG EV is equipped with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system for pedestrians and cyclists, it is also equipped with lane keeping assistant, seat belt warning, speed assistant and 6 airbags and many other safety features. Being an affordable all-electric SUV, it is able to provide an effective amount of safety to all passengers inside the electric car.
