Tata Motors has launched five CNG trucks in India. Among the newly launched models is the country's first CNG powered truck – the Signa – in the M&HCV (Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles) segment. The vehicle comes with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a new optional engine and enhanced comfort features. The company also introduced seven new I&LCV (Intermediate & Light Commercial Vehicle) tippers and trucks.
The company's M&HCV and I&LCV series trucks are equipped with next-generation digital solutions for optimal fleet management - Fleet Edge. Under the name Sampoorna Seva, the company provides a range of post-purchase services that include extended warranties, on-site support, availability guarantees, breakdown assistance and insurance and random repairs.
The all-new Signa comes in two variants – 19 tonnes and 28 tonnes – depending on the total weight of the car. The new truck is powered by a 5.7 liter SGI engine that generates a maximum power of 180 bhp and a maximum torque of 650 Nm.
The new utility truck comes with notable new features such as a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls and Bluetooth connectivity, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new instrument cluster and an easy-to-access control panel.
Additionally, Prima models get Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology such as Collision Mitigation System (CMS), Driver Monitoring System (DMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Lane Departure Warning System lane. (LDWS).
The company also introduced seven new I&LCV (medium and light commercial vehicle) dump trucks and trucks – LPK610, LPT 709g XD, SK 710, Ultra T.12g, Ultra K.14, LPT 1512g and Ultra. T.16 Cx.
The vehicles are offered with GVWs between 4-18 tonnes, various engine options and cab customization options. The new fuel-efficient diesel and CNG trucks and dump trucks of the FE series provide better application-oriented solutions. The vehicles are also equipped with new technological enhancements such as optimized powertrains, low viscosity rear axle oil, e-viscosity effect radiator fan, shift advisor and low rolling resistance tires.
