Announced at an introductory price of Rs 81.99 lakh in Nepal, the seven-seater offers a compelling combination of comfort, performance and prestige.

The all-new Tata Safari, which has had a massive following since its first generation, is essentially the Harrier with minimal changes – the Safari is considerably larger, with a few design tweaks to accommodate the third-row seating. The Safari is powered by a 2.0-litre Kyrotec turbocharged engine that generates a maximum power of 168bhp and a maximum torque of 350Nm. The engine is paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

The Safari boasts a host of features such as advanced ESP with 14 functions and Boss mode that provide enhanced ride comfort and ensure safety, making the SUV a compelling choice for the fast-growing Nepalese market. The vehicle comes in Daytona Grey, Orcus White and the signature Royal Blue color variants.

Tata Motors has also unveiled the Adventure Persona of the Safari, which highlights the SUV's "rugged and sporty" styling while adding a dashing look so that customers can choose the best that matches their personality. Launched in an expressive Tropical Mist color scheme, it has a tough and stylish exterior with SUV characteristics in true blue.

Taking the styling quotient up a notch, the Adventure Persona comes with machined R18 alloys in Charcoal Gray and a finish to the grille, roof rails and outer door handles, and a Safari mascot on the hood. The interior feels plush, with its signature Earthy Brown upholstery; dark chrome accents on air vents, knobs, switches, interior door handles and instrument cluster; and piano black on the steering wheel, grab bars, floor console frame and IP mid-pad finisher.
