Following the launch of the Tiago EV in India, Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd â the exclusive distributor of Tata vehicles in Nepal â is gearing up to launch the all-new Tiago EV in Nepal. The Tiago EV is based on the latest ICE-powered Tiago and uses the brand's Ziptron technology.
The Tiago.ev inherits the design elements of its facelifted ICE-powered Tiago model. However, the front fascia of the EV features an upgraded grille with the .EV badge that stretches all the way to the projector headlamps with DRLs. The EV comes with a two-tone roof and blue accents throughout the body.
Inside, the EV is equipped with leather-trimmed seats and the driver's seat is height-adjustable. On the dashboard is a steering wheel with mounted control buttons and behind it is a digital instrument console that displays the speedometer and tachometer dials. For infotainment, the EV features a 7-inch HARMAN touchscreen that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Tiago EV is offered in two IP67 battery variants: 19.2 kWh (for XE and XT) and 24 kWh (for XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Tech lux).
A 19.2kWh battery mated to a 45kW PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) delivers a maximum torque of 110Nm and provides a maximum range of 250km. An EV can be charged from 10-100% in 5.1 hours via a 3.3 kW home charger and the same amount can be charged in 2.6 hours using a 7.2 kW AC charger. The battery is also compatible with a DC fast charger.
The 24 kWh battery â paired with 55 kW PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) â generates a maximum torque of 114 Nm and offers a maximum range of 315 km. The EV takes 6.4 hours to charge from 10-100% via a 3.3 kW home charger and requires 3.6 hours to charge the same amount using a 7.2 kW AC charger. The battery is also compatible with a DC fast charger.
The Tiago EV is equipped with ZConnect technology â integrated with the infotainment system and accessible via smartphones â which offers 45 connected car functions such as remote on/off climate control with temperature settings, remote geo-fencing and car location tracking, smartwatch connectivity, remote vehicle health diagnostics, real-time charging status and dynamic charger locator, among others.
Other notable features are driver and passenger airbags, drive modes (Sport and City), ABS with EBD, park assist, drive modes, electrically adjustable ORVM and power windows.
Tata Motors has launched the Tiago EV in India in four variants: XE, XT XZ+, XZ+ Tech lux â starting at INR 8.49 lakh and going up to INR 11.79 lakh. There is no news about its price yet, but it will be the most affordable EV in Nepal and fans can expect it to come at a base price of Rs 30 lakh.
